Communication is at the heart of our phone. We’ve re-thought the phone experience, taking advantage of the latest technologies in a timeless and refreshingly simple design.
Unlike feeds that are engineered to keep you scrolling, tools are for getting things done. The Light Phone II is built around a user-customizable toolbox where you will be able to easily add or remove various tools using the Dashboard. The tools are completely optional, of course. (the animation is for reference, tools like 'taxi' and 'music' are still in development and not yet available) The Light Phone II will never have feeds, social media, advertisements, news or email. All of the tools are custom designed for our Light OS. There is no infinity, just intention.
Currently the Light Phone II can call, text, set alarms or use a simple calculator. It also has a hotspot functionality. Here's an animation of some of the interfaces for our future tools that are still in development. These tools are not yet available.
We are offering an optional service plan and SIM card, to make the whole experience of going light for good even more streamlined and straightforward.

Our plan is designed for users who plan to use the Light Phone II as their primary phone. We will send you a SIM card for free, and you can activate it by signing up for our Light Plan using the Dashboard that you will use to manage your phone in general. There is no contract, and it is billed monthly.
Port your existing phone number, or we can provide one for you.
Our plan includes unlimited domestic calls and texts. It also includes 1gb of data, which we believe is more than suitable for standard updates and using our simple tools. When the Light Phone II supports hotspot later this fall, you will have the option to add unlimited data to your plan.
Like all wireless plans in the US, there are some additional taxes, and these are specific to your local regulation. For example, here in NYC, for a $30/mo plan a user will have to pay about $8.60 of taxes. These include a variety of things like the Public Safety Communications Surcharge, which is a fixed rate added to all lines, to local state taxes and fees, which are usually percentage-based. This tax is out of our control of course.
